Meera Sanyal, banker and former chairperson of Royal Bank of Scotland will be joining Aam Aadmi Party next week. Sanyal is one of the leading bankers in India, who recently announced her resignation from the post of CEO and chairperson of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
The banker has confirmed to Headlines Today that she will be stepping down from Royal Bank of Scotland on December 31, 2013.
Preeti Sharma, official spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party says discussions are going on her joining.
Meera Sanyal was an independent candidate in the 2009 Lok Sabha elections from the Mumbai South constituency.
Sources say she being a banker by profession, will be offering financial advise and support to AAP at national level.
